There are three adult homes located within Ulster County which are licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Homes which accommodate fewer than five unrelated persons require no license, and are not listed in this guide.

Culinarians’ Home

Program Address:

All meals, housekeeping, laundry, linens, personal services including medication management and bathing assistance.

Rooms are furnished, but residents may bring small articles of furniture such as an easy chair and television. (Cable is provided.)

Weekly shopping trips are offered; residents may go out on their own and may also have their own automobiles on site.

Varies, depending on type of accommodation selected. 

How is the Program Accessed:

Call for application. Application procedure includes: completion of application form, pre-admission interview, and completion of medical evaluation at the time a room becomes available.

Program Restrictions:

Residents must be ambulatory; walkers or canes may be used, but must not require wheelchairs. Must meet other physical and medical requirements as outlined in the medical evaluation. No nursing or medical services are offered.
